New Look

So, I changed things up a bit around here and I'd love to hear what you guys think of the new look! :D

I haven't NaNoed in a few days, but that was my plan. The fiance works like crazy during the week, so the weekend is the only time we get together. I'm willing to write some more words during the week if it means having my weekends free-ish. But look for me to burn up the word count this coming week! I'm rested, revved, and ready to go.

In the absence of NaNo, I have managed to send out five submissions, including one piece I wrote just this weekend. It's a flash piece, but one that bit me hard and wanted to get out. Other than that, I hung out with the fiance and scritched the cats. All in all, a great weekend.

How about you guys? What did you do this weekend?

I like the new look! Very artsy! :)

My weekend is dedicated to getting back on track (or at least not falling further behind) on my NaNo project.

Good luck with all those submissions!

Thank you! I really like it, so I'm happy. :D I'm about to start back up with the NaNoing. Good luck with getting back on track. You can totally do it! Just keep writing! :D

Thanks! I've got my fingers crossed, and we'll see how it goes!

I do like it. Nice choice! I'm not doing NaNo this year. I've never done it before, but I'm sure I will one year soon.

However, in the spirit of NaNo I'm trying to get back to writing *something* every day. I always aim for 200+ words, hoping for 300, while any more than that is a blessing.

But if I'm just too tired from school, I'll let myself back off *only* as long as I write 50+ words. Because if I don't write anything, that's when the long periods of not writing start.

Then December I'm going to challenge myself. The goal will be 500 words a day, adding up to 15,000 just for that month. I might even be daring and raise it to 1,000 a day. We'll have to see how I'm feeling.

Thank you!

NaNo is a great experience! I love the forums as well as the actual writing, and I would highly recommend it to everybody! :D

Even a small daily goal is a good one. Writing every day is, IMHO, the important thing. And hey, if you write just 50 words a day, at the end of the month you'll have 1500!

Plus, I think that smaller word count goals are really good for getting back into things. A smaller goal is easier to hit, and every time you hit it, you feel a little more confident! Good luck! You can totally keep to it! :D
