Today's Six Sentence Sunday tidbit is, again, from A Sign in Blood.

"I hate temples," she muttered. Liral didn't know if Nathias had meant for her to hear that.

"Why?" The word was out before she could think better of it.

Nathias looked down at Liral, her face lined and tired. "Because priests are liars and gods don't listen."

Interesting. So I'm curious if this means he doesn't believe in the gods or if he just believes they don't listen.

LOL! Thank you! And Nathias definitely believes in the gods. She's... well, somewhat descended from one! It gives her a pretty unique perspective. :-D

Thanks guys! I really like this exchange between Nathias and Liral because it's one of the first moments where they really see each other, without Chadri smoothing the way!
